About the Coaches

Myriah Volk, Coach M, is a youth basketball coach/trainer who currently works at Coaches' Corner gym. She is also the athletic director for St. Sebastian CYO teams.  Myriah played for Healdsburg High School 1989-1993, where she was the star point guard heralded as the "Envy of the Empire" (Press Democrat, 1993).  She was twice selected All Empire Player of Year, three times All-State and honorable mention All American. In addition to receiving honors in basketball, Myriah was also a three time SCL Player of the Year in soccer and All-League in softball, earning her the 1993 Redwood Empire Athlete of the Year Award. She was then nominated by Cal-Hi Sports for California State Athlete of the Year. (An honor that went to future Olympian, Marion Jones).  She went on to attend Cal Poly San Luis Obispo on a basketball scholarship. She has coached jr. high school girl’s basketball as well as many camps and clinics.  She lives in Sebastopol with her family.

 Jessica Bull, Coach J, is a credentialed classroom teacher who has returned to the classroom full time for the 2011-2012 school year.  She was the assistant coach for the back-to-back SCL champions, Analy Lady Tigers varsity basketball team. She has also coached the sixth and eighth grade girls teams at Brook Haven Middle School in 2009 & 2010.  Jessica was a star post player at El Molino High School, 1992-1994, and was selected Sonoma County League, All League Team and All Empire Team. Her "bullish offense" (Sebastopol Times, 1993)led her to Cal State University, Hayward where she played center and is an all time career scorer. She has coached at numerous camps and clinics. She lives in Sebastopol with her family.
